Scott has worked in financial services since 1996 and during this period he has gained experience in various roles ranging from advising clients of a large national bank to more recently a compliance role where he acted as a consultant to various Independent Financial Advisors. This has provided Scott with a great insight into all aspects of the industry and allowed him to gain an invaluable education into the world of independent advice.
Essentially, Scott sees the role of an Independent Financial Adviser, as one of helping clients achieve their goals through a financial planning journey which involves first and foremost, listening to clients goals and aspirations then tailoring any solutions to meet these objectives. Thereafter, the most important thing is to continually review these objectives to ensure the client remains on track to achieve them.
This is all done in a professional manner, though he will endeavour to provide the solutions in a user friendly format by cutting through the jargon that is inevitably associated with the financial services industry. By doing this, it helps Scott to build relationships with clients that will continue for years to come.
Three words clients use to describe Scott are;
“Trustworthy, Approachable, Genuine”
When not working, Scott spends most of his spare time with his family and most weekends he acts as “dad’s taxi service” to his two young daughters, whether it be gymnastics or dancing. Scott enjoys all sports, particularly football and although he has now hung up his boots he is still an avid armchair fan.
